Why does MOVE IT MAMA have a 40-week postnatal recovery period?

Many moms wonder exactly how much time the regression takes. When will I finally fit into my old jeans again? The regression phase at MOVE IT MAMA consists of a total of 40 weeks and thus goes beyond the duration of the classic regression courses. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get back to your desired mommy weight much sooner.

We explain to you why we at MOVE IT MAMA attach great importance to the fact that you, dear mama, should give your body as much time for postnatal regeneration as you gave it for development during pregnancy: 9 months!

One month after birth slim again – is that possible?

The pre-natal period lasts 40 weeks, to which we have built and adapted the prenatal training plan, but also for the post-natal period it is extremely important to give your body at least as much time for recovery. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have your pre-pregnancy body back much sooner. But it will always be a little bit different than before, for some more for others less.

But as I said at the beginning, one or the other – without dieting at all – can find back to her desired weight after only a few weeks and get rid of the pregnancy pounds! But even then, your body needs more time to get fit – because what good is a beautiful appearance, if your body is not yet able to do what it was able to do before. Also your head and your soul need a little longer to be back where you were before. During pregnancy not only your body but also your soul is exposed to extreme stress due to hormonal changes. Body and soul are closely connected. If you feel bad, you often don’t feel good psychologically and vice versa! We have divided MOVE IT MAMA into 4 postnatal phases, in order to find the inner strength, to find back to yourself and to feel well again, in your own body, in the role as a mom and with a completely new rhythm!

When can I go on a diet?

You really shouldn’t go on a classic diet while you are still breastfeeding your baby. And not in the first few months after birth either. Naturally slim women tend to lose weight during the breastfeeding phase anyway, because the baby demands a lot from us. But even if you don’t breastfeed, or if you are one of those women with beautiful curves (I envy you!), you should avoid dieting during the first months. Much more important is a healthy, balanced diet that strengthens you, body and mind and helps you to find your way in the new daily routine!

And don’t worry, with such a diet and the right sports program adapted to the different postnatal phases, you will soon fit into your old jeans again. And you will now wear them with a completely different look – look forward to it and enjoy it! #StrongMamas

Be proud of yourself

Be proud of every little step forward, it can be that you feel fitter, that you can cope better with everyday life, that you can enjoy your new role as a mom more, that you completed Mama’s Cardio Burn today and even mastered the difficult variations or you even completed one more workout this week than the week before!

My tip: I was also slim again after a few weeks without dieting! However, my body and especially my soul needed much longer time to be in top shape again. Of course, due to the lack of sleep, I still felt a bit physically weak, but regular workouts help and get the circulation going! Please take your time and don’t get impatient! It doesn’t matter if the old pants fit after two weeks, two months or two years!
